Where and What is Normandy?

 Normandy (in French Normandie) is a geographical region in northern France made up of 2 Regions: Haute Normandie (Upper Normandy) and Basse Normandie with the equivalent of 5 counties, “départements”, Seine-Maritime 76 & Eure 27 in Haute Normandie, & the more westerly Calvados 14, Manche 50 & Orne 61 in Basse Normandie.

Famous products from Normandy include Camembert cheese and Calvados brandy. Famous Normans include: William the Conqueror, Claude Monet, and Christian Dior.
